Moses teaches the Shema in Deuteronomy.

Jesus teaches the Shema in response to a question asked by a scribe regarding which is the most important commandment of all.

The Shema teaching is seen throughout Jesus' teaching and life, especially in his prayer to the Father in John 17:3.
