In the coming days, we are going to learn about the Shema.

The Shema is the most important commandment of all.  This is true both in the Old Testament and New Testament.

Moses teaches the Shema in Deuteronomy.

Jesus teaches the Shema in response to a question asked by a scribe regarding which is the most important commandment of all.

The Shema teaching is seen throughout Jesus' teaching and life, especially in his prayer to the Father in John 17:3.
